We provide several mediums and opportunities for learners to share who they are and to learn about their prospective peers, faculty and administration. what. Learners are introduced to learning opportunities, respective curriculum, available supports, testimonials, course and degree, goals and objectives, means of communication, etc. They learn what their participation in our educational institution looks like. They learn about expectations and accountability. when. Information is important. Communication is important. We have systems in place to provide real time and as close to real time as possible access to information. In fact, it is part of our philosophy. From feedback about coursework to changes in administration- it is our resolve to continuously evaluate, maintain and enhance effect systems of communication as swiftly as possible. where. We meet students where they are. We are agile. We are mobile and we create spaces wherever learners need to be. Wherever there is a barrier to learning, we seek, in collaboration with our learners to find lasting solutions. It's our culture. why. Because education matters. Because equity matters. Because learner's lives matters. |
OPPORTUNITIES
We have designed our entire nonprofit organization to function as a learner-focused eco system. Everyone has something to learn. So we created our habitat accordingly. From the board member to the client, everyone has something to learn. everyone has something to contribute. It is an employment, volunteer and client expectation to learn, participate and contribute to the community. The infrastructure of our nonprofit organization is designed to prove that without each other we cannot exist or thrive.
Opportunities include, but are limited to mentorship, coaching, advisory board membership, junior board membership, facilitating or providing approved community activities and life skills groups. life skills, conducting peer led therapeutic groups, community service, evaluation and safety committee participation, advocacy, outreach and more! |
