For far too long, educational institutions have done what people do commonly- misquote lines from movies. How many of us have always known the famous quote from Field of Dreams- "If you build it, they will come." Educational administrators and founders have put everything they have into building what they believe is extraordinary. Though they invest in what they truly believe is extraordinary, they will never maximize their profit because they never invested in what was most profitable- the learner.

First Let'sconsider this.
What if long gone were the days of winning based solely on what students you accept to your higher ed institution. First legacy students. Then affirmative action students. What if, rather, winning was based on the level of impact and quality of education you provided to the students who chose to go to your school? Miller tells us that such could become the new norm.

i wonder...who is teaching who?
The use of classroom tech is at an all time high. Is the role of the lecturer being threatened. Can autobot do what your online college professor do? Maybe they can. But who will decide. What is the student's roll in informing the course of technology in the classroom?
